International Student Program (ISP) Student Assistant Position Description

Job Purpose: To support ISP with events and programs, administrative tasks, and special projects.

Schedule: 20 hours per week during the semester, 25 hours per week during breaks.

Pay Rate: $15 per hour (may increase to $15.40/hr after 200 hours, and $15.70/hr after 600 hours and completion of Work Experience class)

Responsibilities:
• Create and post content regularly on ISP social media accounts
• Generate the ISP Monthly Newsletter
• Digitally record ISP student files and documents
• Assist in the planning, marketing, and execution of ISP events
• Act as event photographer during ISP events
• Special projects as assigned
• May provide support to the Admissions & Records Office as needed
• Support the mentor program (not currently active):
o Table and give classroom presentations to recruit participants
o Process applications and assign mentors
o Support supervisor at orientation
o Support mentors in activity planning and execution
o Manage mentor conflicts/issues and report to supervisor
o Collaborate with the International Club and other campus partners
o Facilitate the collection of feedback and program evaluations

Qualifications/Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experiencing using graphic design software (e.g. InDesign, Photoshop, Canvas)
• Working knowledge of office equipment including phones, copier, and scanner
• Ability to study the SRJC website and learn how to direct students
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple demands at once
• Ability to work as a team
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and carry supplies to campus events
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must have leadership skills and be outgoing
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 required
